Author Ron Winter contacted us this weekend about Move America Forward’s Troopathon event on June 25. There is a blogger competition going on and Radio Vice Online just joined the Greyhawks. You can join the effort to help send the largest ever shipment of care packages to our armed forces in Afghanistan, Iraq and Guantanamo Bay!
As listeners to Sound Off Connecticut and readers of Radio Vice Online, you can sponsor care packages that will include a personal message from you, and items that troops have requested, making their life a bit easier while deployed. Care packages are tax deductible and include items like sun-screen, coffee, cookies, bug repellent, and more.

Move America Forward is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization which raise more than $1.5 million for care packages during last year’s troopathon. The live event on Thursday – hosted by Andrew Breitbart and Melanie Morgan – includes guests Rush Limbaugh, Laura Ingraham, Michelle Malkin, Mark Levin and more. We’re going to attempt to post the live video and audio feed on Radio Vice Online for the full eight hours.

Donation Details
A Battalion Pack ($1,000) serves 50-60 troops, a Company Pack ($600) serves 25-30 troops, a Platoon Pack ($200) serves 15-20 troops, a Squad Pack ($100) serves 8-10 troops, a Large Pack ($50) serves 3-4 troops, and a Small Pack ($25) serves 1-2 troops.
