Heartbreaking: Deaf twins choose death after learning they are going blind

It would be terrible to hear 45-year old deaf twins committed suicide by hanging or jumping to their death after learning they were both going blind, but to hear this euthanasia/suicide was state-approved and the twins were killed by doctors?

I just don’t know what to say. The Belgian government – even though the twins were suffering no physical pain and were not terminally ill – agreed current law would apply to them. In Belgium, euthanasia is legal and it is not required the person participates in the administration of drugs. Those making the decision need only “make their wishes clear and are suffering unbearable pain, according to a doctor’s judgement.”

So now a physician defined “unbearable pain” as sadness and/or depression? I can not accept this is a forward move for the human race. This is not good.

The two brothers, who have not been named but were pictured on Belgian television, both worked as cobblers and shared a flat together, The Telegraph has reported.

David Dufour, the doctor who presided over the euthanasia, told RTL television news the twins had taken the decision in ‘full conscience’.

He said they were ‘very happy’ and it had was a ‘relief’ to see the end of their suffering.

‘They had a cup of coffee in the hall, it went well and a rich conversation,’ Mr Dufour said.

‘Then the separation from their parents and brother was very serene and beautiful.

‘At the last there was a little wave of their hands and then they were gone.’

I think I just threw-up a little in my mouth.

The state has no business inflicting death on anyone. Whether it is at the beginning of life, the end of life, and now in the middle of life (!), the state has less than no business, at all, killing anyone.
    Life is sacred.

Wow, I didn’t know they had actually gone ahead and done this….sounds like some sort of grotesque science fiction future (ala Soylent Green).? Not only is life sacred, but it also should have purpose and meaning.? They could have, at the least,?inspired others instead of quitting on life.? Especially, since in EU they can get all kinds of assistance and benefits to make them more comfortable.
