Along with the video embedded below, The Tax Foundation has created an online calendar where you can estimate how much the cap and trade legislation will cost your family. President Obama was quite clear, energy costs will neccessarily skyrocket. Everything will be more expensive. Food will be more expensive, gas will be more expensive, heating and cooling your home will be more expensive. These additional costs my friends, equal higher taxes -- hidden in the cost of goods and services -- for everyone.
The calculator does require you know details about your monthly budget including how much you spend on food, housing, energy, clothing and other items, and if you don’t know those details for your family, it’s time you jump on that.
