Democrats new battle plan: go after the tea party, they’re are psychotic
What do you do when all of your Keynesian economic plans fail? What do you do when there are, dare I say, no more arrows in the quiver? What do you do when time and time again socialistic policies fail around the world? Why you make your attacks personal. 2 stories here and one video for your edification. Did you really think they’d give up that easily?
First this story from the Daily Beast on minority leader Nancy Pelosi’s new strategy. Go after the tea party.
Next” for Pelosi and the Democrats means changing the conversation to jobs, and making sure voters know that the Tea Party hijacked the debate.
Pelosi agrees that the Republicans won in Congressby framing the debate over raising the nation’s borrowing limit around the idea that the debt is everything. “But they didn’t win it with the American people,” she says. “I haven’t seen a poll yet that says, ‘Don’t tax the rich, we don’t want jobs, we just want to deal with this debt first, second, last, and always.’”
Stung by the outcome in Congress, Democrats are portraying the Tea Party as reckless extremists bent on destroying government. “If it was about the deficit, we can deal with it,” Pelosi said Wednesday during a gathering with reporters in her office. “This is about destroying the public space.” Everything from clean air and water to national parks and food safety and regulation will be compromised if the Tea Party gets the draconian cuts it wants. Saying this is a “fragile ecosystem” that we have, Pelosi personalized what’s at stake, saying, “I’m a mom and a grandmother talking now. Don’t mess with that.”
Then there is this from MSNBC and Martin Bashir video of the Weekly Standard. The “lean forward” network decides to psychoanalyze the tea party. Why you folks are nothing more than petulant children who always wants her way and if something isn’t done to stop you you’ll become violent just like in Norway.

PEELE: Well, i’m looking at one beyond. they want no new taxes because they seek some kind of idyllic past. No new taxes won’t bring them, won’t bring them economic recovery so they will have to turn their attention to some other supposed method of attaining that until they go through all of them. Perhaps they can push through all of them. perhaps people become discontented and perhaps they will become discontented and people are likely to get riled up, and it could become a very angry movement could, potentially become a violent movement.

I recommend watching it twice, the first time to take it in and the second time to focus on Peele’s criticism as an almost preternaturally perfect case of projection. We’re $14 trillion in debt, we’re at serious risk of a credit downgrade, we just had an epic congressional battle over a bill that ensures we’ll “only” add another $6 trillion in debt over the next 10 years, and the driver of all of this — entitlements, and specifically Medicare — is the one thing the left will never, ever, evah compromise on. Yet somehow this guy musters the stones to say this:
“Well, the way I think about it is they are pursuing goals that can’t be achieved. It’s sort of like a child who has some kind of fantasy, and they keep asking you to give them things to acquire that, but it’s impossible to arrive at the goal that they want. The idyllic paths that they are pursuing probably never existed and certainly not something we can reach right now.”
Be prepared my little terrorists, it’s going to get rough out there.

Notice how all of the attacks are typical reductio ad absurdum: “no” clean air, “no” national parks, “no” taxes for the rich, “no” food safety, yadda, yadda, yadda.? In other words, their usual scare tactics. ? This demonstrates that the only way a liberal/progressive/socialist can win an debate is by marginalizing their conservative opponents, a la Saul Alinsky.? If they had valid arguments, they would use them.? But they can’t.? They can’t win on the merits of socialism.? They can’t run on their record of economic success.? They can’t win on their record of success in just about anything except making government bigger and bigger in the hope of solving problems that can never be solved, because then, we don’t need them.

The TEA party is cutting out the middleman and saying “we don’t need them” now!!

And Peele, the author of a book on addiction, is the best MSNBC’s Bashir could do for an interview?? It would be interesting if Peele were to psychoanalyze the Democrats addiction to spending & the way they, like petulant children, have pushed through legislation that most American people did not want (obamacare).? If I recall correctly, there was no debate to be had when it came to that.? Pelosi saying, “We have to pass it so you can see what’s in it” isn’t childish?? C’mon.

A little off topic but related to the FAA post by the SOS. I was clicking around the “news” channels yesterday and saw this. I also saw Martin interview a Dem congressman, whose name I can’t recall, about the FAA shut down. This congressman mentioned Washington National airport, “sometimes called Reagan national”.
Man, these Dems got problems!

Is this guy a psycologist or an economist?? What would he say if we took economic advice from someone without a background in it?? He thinks the tea party controls the symbolism, it wasn’t them who uses the words ?revenue for taxes, terrorists for tea party, or “bump in the road” for recession.
If I were a member of the Tea Party, I would declare victory and tone down the rethoric.
It would appear that all of the rhetoric is coming from the left, e.g. the current “hostage” talking point and the aforementioned gun analogies.

This name calling from Nazi Pelosi4 and messnbc is quite … unexpected. It’s ironic that UK native Martin “Bash ’em” Bashir22 comes to America to ply his trade and reports a story smearing a political movement that has never espoused violence and whose members likely wouldn’t even speak rudely to him in a debate, What if, however, he chose to move to Pakistan, his parents’ homeland, and report on actual terrorists and their sympathizers there? Since he’s a convert to Christianity, he wouldn’t even have to report on the terrorists for his family and him to face the very real prospect of murder. The main aspect of the messnbc report that is really strange is how it projects the behavior of typical Democrats ? the insanity; violence; unwillingness to compromise; blind, seething hatred; lying; name calling; wearing tiger suits while attacking a donor’s daughter; etc. ? onto TEA Party members. Until Dems recognize they have a problem with sneers, insults and putdowns, no amount of therapy will help them regain a small slice of sanity.

Peele is so unprofessional in his diagnosis that he doesn’t even deserve a comment. However, to the above comment, as a member of the Republican Party, since I first registered and that’s a long time. Nothing has made me happier than the work of the Tea Party to frame the issues and fight for them. I hope GOP and Tea Party can form a strong union (ironic choice of words).? I don’t mean for the Tea Party to take a backseat, I mean for them to take the leadership!? GOP is and has been part of the problem. As for McCain’s comments running on the bottom script, has he ever read the Hobbit or the Lord o the Rings? Hobbits were quiet mild mannered farmers, that kept to themselves. It was the rebellious Sam, Bilbo and his buddies that were courageous and steadfast to the cause of casting out the Ring and ending it’s powerful, deadly hold on the world. But entirely honorable and decent to the end. No wonder we lost to Obama with that weak kneed idiot and he’s illiterate.
OK, I’m getting like Crystal and writing a post before I think it all the way through. The first part I am totally sincere. However, when I reread the part about McCain, it occurred to me he might have meant hobbits as a compliment. In this day of sound bites and partial quotes, we don’t know unless we hear his whole quote.? McCain is a war hero of the highest quality. Tolkien wrote The Hobbit and LOTR after serving in WWI. If he meant it as a compliment, I sincerely apologize. He was well-meaning but had no fire to take on the established policies and idiocy of the media. I know no one else cares about this except me, but Tolkien’s work was extraordinary and had a passion that captured my heart.
