December 7 Navy SEAL court-martial protest

Today we honor the 68th anniversary the bombing of Pearl Harbor. 2400 sailors and Marines lost their lives that day. It is ironic then that on this solemn anniversary the United States Navy chooses to arraign three Navy Seals in preparation of their Court Martial. Here’s Steve’s post just to refresh your memory:

Navy SEALs have secretly captured one of the most wanted terrorists in Iraq — the alleged mastermind of the murder and mutilation of four Blackwater USA security guards in Fallujah in 2004. And three of the SEALs who captured him are now facing criminal charges, sources told FoxNews.com.

The three, all members of the Navy’s elite commando unit, have refused non-judicial punishment — called a captain’s mast — and have requested a trial by court-martial.

Ahmed Hashim Abed, whom the military code-named “Objective Amber,” told investigators he was punched by his captors — and he had the bloody lip to prove it.

Now, instead of being lauded for bringing to justice a high-value target, three of the SEAL commandos, all enlisted, face assault charges and have retained lawyers.

Today, outraged citizens in the Tidewater area will be holding a protest at the Norfolk Naval base where the three will be arraigned. From Resist.net

This is a complete outrage and mockery of our US Military. As Americans, we CANNOT stand for this and MUST show our support for our troops who are constantly being put in harms way to protect the country that is now bring them under fire. We must send a message that “political correctness” has reached a boiling point and that these service men will not be hung out to dry.

I ask everyone, within reason, to take to Norfolk, VA on Dec 7 and send a message loud and clear that we stand behind them.

They are also asking if you can’t make it to the protest … please … let the Navy know how you feel.

You have to wonder about the intent of this administration:  they prosecute Marines on Pearl Harbor Day.  They announce that they are kowtowing to Russia on the Eastern European missile defense shield on the anniversary of the 70th anniversary of the Soviet invasion of Poland in 1939.  Are they that ignorant/inept, or do they just like sticking thier fingers in everyone's eye?  What next?  Final passage of publicly funded abortions on the anniversary of Roe v. Wade?  Turning over California and Arizona to Mexico on the anniversary of the Alamo?

There ain't no such thing as coincidences, particularly repetitive ones.

Checked with  my Navy son in Virginia.  His take was the problem was not so much the roughing up of the prisoner  BUT the fact they tried to cover up by lying about it.
