Cuomo demands 10-round firearm magazines be banned

I can not understand why this fool won’t just step up and demand all firearms be confiscated. If you want to hunt – which is what New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo thinks the 2nd Amendment is about – we should be licensed and required to pick up a one-shot rifle at the local police department armory, and have a state guide with you at all times.

You think I’m kidding? Cuomo is not, and he needs to go away. If you voted for this clown, I’m embarrassed for you. Is there a recall system in place in New York? From CBS with my emphasis in bold.

[Cuomo] admitted he’s a gun owner himself and said he doesn’t want to stop hunters and others from owning weapons, but Cuomo tried to shame the Legislature into action with a passionate speech on gun violence, CBS 2’s Marcia Kramer reported.

“I say to you forget the extremists. It’s simple — no one hunts with an assault rifle. No one needs 10 bullets to kill a deer and too many people have died already,” Cuomo said.

Again, nobody can figure out what an assault rifle is. Thousands and thousands of hunters use sport rifles to hunt every day, but nobody in the US uses fully-automatic assault rifles for hunting. Of course, those weapons are rarely if ever used in a crime. If you hear the press mention an automatic rifle or pistol was used in a crime, you can be 99 percent certain they are lying to you.

Hey Cuomo – The 2nd Amendment has nothing to do with hunting.

Trust me, politicians like Cuomo and New York City Mayor Bloomberg know they are lying to you. They think you are stupid. They are speaking to the low-information voter who lives their life making decisions after listening to a 10 second soundbite or “reviewing” a pretty 200-pixel square graphic with “important” information on it when it shows up on their Facebook wall. I’m not kidding … that’s how they get their information!

The gun control crowd and politicians like Cuomo and Bloomberg are purposefully confusing the waters when it comes to the definition of an “assault” weapon. They are playing on your fears. They are lying to you. The press is letting them get away with it.

Disgusting. Does Cuomo – or even you – have the guts to read my post on rifles and magazines and how appropriate they are for home defense as well as hunting? Do you have time to read it? It will take five minutes. Will you share that post on your Facebook wall?

Here’s the problem — the slope IS SLIPPERY.

Once they ban 30 rounds magazines, they will only be satisfied until a crime is committed with a 10 or even a 5 round magazine, then they’ll want to ban them too.

Soon, thereafter, someone like Cuomo will stand up with a straight face and tell us why we don’t need anything that holds more than one shot.

So you’re an extremist if you own an AR15- sounds like he wants to go Waco or Ruby Ridge on law abiding gun owners? ?

people who yell and scream appear unbalanced, not passionate or presidential (which is cuomo’s ulterior motive).? ultimately, all of these anti-gun buffoons are revealing their fear–that they know the guns will be pointed at them.? they are inviting it.? we know that they will put loopholes in their ‘legislation’ for their own security details.? loopholes render legislation moot.? so what is the goal?? not fewer guns or less capacity–it’s new revenue.? think of it as fracking for firearms–so much possibility, but in this case the outcome will not be greater freedom/access–just more gov’t.

You meant those loopholes they call “waivers”?

Isn’t this the kind of reaction that Piers Morgan is trying to elicit out of Second Amendment supporters?
    ?
    Cuomo looks/sounds positively unhinged.

      Absolutely CRAZY!
      ?
I don’t think people like him should be allowed to own a gun . . .

If we had background checks for politicians, we probably wouldn’t have half the problems we have today…

Those AR-15’s are bought so often because you don’t have to have a carry permit to get one.Poor shots need a lot of pops to take down an invader. According to the Corrupticut Constitution Article 15-1 we should be able to but any gun & bring it home. But a 1995 law that is obviously unconstitutional stopped that.

Somebody please ask Mario to give up his armed bodyguards if he feels that way,

And let the NY police be disarmed just as they are in GB.

Has anyone noticed that those folks who are demanding gun control are from the “blue states?” Not hearing any such calls from the “red states”. Hmmmmmmmmmm.

    • Dimsdale on January 11, 2013 at 9:59 am

Also note that the bulk of the gun related crime is found in blue states.
      ?
I think the statement that “liberalism is a mental disorder” is quite accurate, and liberals and their supporters should not be allowed to have guns.

So aside from the very liberal base in NYC, where 88% ‘approve’ of the job President Obama is doing, how many others in NY is Guv Cuomo reaching?? NY is a BIG geographic state, but the tyrrany of the majority?
