Consider, if you will, that it is the very pressure the government is putting on gun makers and owners that is powering the development of this technology. Cheap detectable guns are attacked, then criminals will find ways around this. It is no different than the anti gun fanatics causing the massive buy up of weapons by law abiding American citizens in anticipation of the fanatic’s proposed anti constitutional regulations etc.

There are two things that I have concerns with -
1) Anyone can print and build these guns, not just manufactures
2) The material used makes it undetectable by conventional means
It makes it easier for illegal gun possession. Not just penalize or marginalize legal ownership, but make the public inherently less secure.
That being said, it is up to the person not to the laws to do the right thing.

The only people that want Øbamacare are the ones that don’t know anything about it, be it from simple ignorance, or the fact that the media didn’t, and doesn’t, report any of the dirty details.

Ask yourself why Congress (both parties) is having secret talks to exempt themselves from it, or that friends of Øbama (like big unions) are getting exemptions to its regulations.

Monopolies are never the answer. If Øbama, in a genuine act of concern for the state of things in healthcare, had bothered to do it right, and hash out the details WITH the contributions of Republicans, and fixed what was broken, instead of ramming through a plan that puts gov’t in charge of too much of the private sector, he would probably have a successful, thought out plan right now instead of cow squeeze.

Instead, he took his hubris, disguised as popular support, to force feed us a plan (who actually wrote that brobdingnagian bill anyway?) whose details are just emerging, along with its inefficiencies.

You can have health care if you pick any two: good, inexpensive or universal.

These printed guns are as invisible as Glocks, which are used by numerous law enforcement agencies with high capacity magazines and citizen killing, hollow point bullets.

Had a chance to turn on Morning Joe last week – first time I ever saw it – and listened to Joe harangue against Ayotte..thought he was filled with too much caffeine – hyper, BUT – did see someone do a promo about the AR-15 – promised to be balanced – was able to watch it. surprised – it was balanced. Showed women with their blinged and pink AR-15′s plus coverage of plastic guns!!!! read about it today – breitbart? – and concluded it illustrated the ability of Americans to invent things WITHOUT gov’t. money pouring in. Our gov’t. should not pour money into companies who promise to use it for research – solar panels, robotic squirrels, disgusting. Don’t know what I feel about plastic guns but I am amazed one inventor is a law student.

…and of course, the government understands that the genie is out of the bottle, hence the reason why they deny all these ammo purchases are specifically intended to make ammo scarce.

either that or they are planning on waging war on us – but the former is much more rational.

bottom line – the government lies about what its doing, what its intentions are, where it will lead us.
