Bill Kristol and Juan Williams “bring it” on AZ immigration bill.

At issue, the Arizona immigration bill that allows police, with “reasonable suspicion” to check ID’s of people it suspects as being the country illegally. There is little question Arizona’s hand has been forced on this bill. Crime, reportedly has risen dramatically, not to mention the strain on  health care services being provided by hospitals that can ill afford the added expense.

I think you have a pretty good idea how this turns out. Kristol says the bill will not mean AZ police will be pulling everyone with brown skin over … Williams, as you might imagine disagrees. Good debate with live action at the end.

For your information, you can read the relevant portion of the bill here at Hot Air. But here’s a sample.

WHERE REASONABLE SUSPICION EXISTS THAT THE PERSON IS AN ALIEN WHO IS UNLAWFULLY PRESENT IN THE UNITED STATES, A REASONABLE ATTEMPT SHALL BE MADE, WHEN PRACTICABLE, TO DETERMINE THE IMMIGRATION STATUS OF THE PERSON, EXCEPT IF THE DETERMINATION MAY HINDER OR OBSTRUCT AN INVESTIGATION.

and this:

A LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICIAL OR AGENCY OF THIS STATE OR A COUNTY, CITY, TOWN OR OTHER POLITICAL SUBDIVISION OF THIS STATE MAY NOT SOLELY CONSIDER RACE, COLOR OR NATIONAL ORIGIN IN IMPLEMENTING THE REQUIREMENTS

I have mixed feelings on this law, but I can understand where the people of Arizona are at wits end. Enough is enough. It has to stop

UPDATE: Here’s one reason Arizonians have been pushed to the brink. Please note that Rob Krentz was trying to help some illegals wandering in the desert.

"bring it"  is what Leonidis the Spartan General told the Persian king when he asked the out numbered Spartans to surrender at Thermopoly.  In Greek: "Molon Labe"  This is one of my favorite quotes.

Well Jim, AZ is doing the work that Washington D.C. SHOULD HAVE DONE!
