Submitted for your approval … the difference between the left and right. Hot Air has a post this morning about a political cartoonist Steve Breen of the San Diego Union-Tribune who, after taking a shot ast the California Teachers Union was suddenly dis invited from speaking to students at a San Diego elementary school. Funny stuff.
Contrast that if you will with the now famous White House Christmas Tree incident where Laura Bush decided not to place an “Impeach Bush” ornament on the famous tree.
Seattle artist Deborah Lawrence was asked by notorious lefty Congressman Jim McDermott to design an ornament for the tree. Lawrence, also about as far left as you can get, decided to make a political point and had hoped to sneak her “:Impeach Bush” ornament through. Well she couldn’t keep her mouth shut and it was caught. The First Lady deemed it inappropriate. Agreed. It’s Christmas … and a Christmas tree.
So how does this contrast? The left dis-invited Mr Breen. Laura Bush invited Miss Lawrence to the reception anyway. Oh, and as further proof that the ornament was never intended to be in the spirit of the season … according to SF Gate … Miss Lawrence said … ” But then she added this, which the Post blog might have called radiGrinch if they’d thought about it: “I don’t like Christmas.”

It is simple: despite continuous and vocal lip service to the contrary, the left has little or no tolerance for any opinion other than their own.
Breen makes a legitimate, public and humorous commentary on the current situation in Cali and gets spanked by the intolerant left.
The low class lefty, in a situation that was clearly inappropriate, tried to sleaze a cheap shot ornament past the First Lady. Clearly, Mrs. Bush is all class, and didn’t disinvite her, a thing she richly deserved (I would make sure she got a drink with a “bad ice cube” myself, but then, I am a vindictive sort!).
Tolerant right, intolerant left. Isn’t it funny how so called common knowledge is contrary to fact?
